Which fabric should be washed at what temperature?

Doing laundry is one of the most important elements of house work and is an important task that helps the environment appear clean.

We separate all our laundry based on the fabric and color and wash it at a certain temperature so that it doesn’t wear out.

Washing at suitable temperatures is necessary for fabrics to be clean and not wear out.

Cottons: White cottons at 80-90 degrees, and colors at most 60 degrees.

Linens: Prewash water temperature is 25-30 degrees, main wash temperature is 50-60 degrees.

Wools: The water temperature should exceed 30-40 degrees.

Silks: Dry cleaning is recommended. It should be washed at 30-40 degrees in the washing machine.

Synthetic fibers: If prewash is necessary, the fabric should be prewashed at a water temperature of 50 – 60 and later should be washed in 90-degree water.

Cotton-polyester blends: Prewash water temperature is 25-30 degrees, main wash temperature is 50-60 degrees.

Detergent selection;

We adjust the degree of pollution according to the type of fabric, color and temperature of the water.Since the hardness of water is high in our country, it is calculated as 1% for each laundry. Separate detergents are used as white – colored.

We use the fabric softener when washing our laundry. It is added to the final rinse water because the softener has a better effect due to there is no detergent. Softener may also be included in the same amount as the detergent.
